This week’s Facebook Live showcased the Darling Donkeys Stamp Set. And just like the name says they are darling. Also showcased was the Stitched Be Mine Dies. The best part is the Darling Donkeys stamp set is FREE during Sale-a-bration (with qualifying purchase)!!!!
The first project was a movement card, meaning the donkey on the front moved. I know you can’t see it in the picture, but you are going to have to trust me or watch my Facebook Live video to see it.
This cute little fella was colored with Smoky Slate and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers. I also used the Color Lifter Stampin Blends Marker to add that artistic touch to his belly area. He was also attached to a piece of wire that cause him to spring into action when touched. The finishing touch on him was the cute red Resin Heart on his back end! ♥
If you look closely, he was placed onto a striped rainbow of reds and pinks. I achieved that by gluing 1/2″ strips of color cardstock side-by-side to form a rainbow background on the front of the card.
The Basic White layer on the card was scored to match the background. I then die-cut the heart out to show that pretty rainbow I had created.
Hee Haw! was then stamped on the front in four different colors of Classic Ink: Real Red, Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade, and Marvelous Magenta.
The heart that had been die-cut from the front piece of Basic White Cardstock was used inside. I stamped it with this cute sentiment from Punch Party Stamp Set in Melon Mambo Classic Ink. I just love the donkey’s expression on the second card I made. He kills me with that rose in his mouth. Just adorbs! I once again used the Stitched Be Mine Dies. This time I used one that left a stitched impression but didn’t cut out a heart.
I layered that piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock on a piece of Pacific Point DSP from the Brights Assortment. That is such a pretty blue! Both of these layers were attached to a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock that match the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers used to color this ‘Romeo’ donkey.
I also die-cut out a Pacific Point Cardstock heart from the same Stitched Be Mine Dies. I used it to be the background for the words ‘Hey There, FRIEND’. As you can see, I also stamped it in Pacific Point Classic Ink.
Lastly, more Resin Hearts were used, this time in white, to embellish the card front. Don’t forget, to watch me make the card, you can tune in to the replay on my Facebook Business Page.
