It is Friday! Happy Fri-YAY everyone! What does that mean is for the blog? – Techniques, Tips, and Tricks. Since I have used the Sweet as a Peach Bundle, I had to come up with a technique, tip, or trick with it. I racked my brain for a while, and it finally came to me. That peach isn’t just a peach, or is it?
For this 3″ x 3″ card, I used the fun Hostess DSP in the NEW Annual Catalog – Pattern Party. I die-cut a Calypso Coral tag from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I also used that adorable Black Glittered Sheer Ribbon. Love it!
Is that a Plum? Hahaha! I used Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink and stamped the peach image. Doesn’t look like a peach anymore, does it? Some Granny Apple Green leaves behind it, and those plums pop right off the card. I also used the same Black Glittered Sheer Ribbon and fun Hostess DSP- Pattern Party.
Where did those cherries come from? There is an image in the stamp set of a cluster of three small peaches. But are they peaches? They look like cherries to me! I stamped the image in Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and drew the stems with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin Write Marker that comes in the Regals Assortment Package. The small leaves were die-cut using the double-leaf die included in the Peach Dies.
Whoa! Is that a lime? Where did that come from? I took Granny Apple Green Classic Ink and stamped the peach image from the first card above. I also stamped some leaves in Old Olive Classic Ink. The trick to getting a lime was in the cutting. I will show you the method in a few minutes. Keep looking below for the last card.
Yes! You see correctly. Those are lemons! Using Daffodil Delight Ink, I stamped that peach image one more time. I cut them out and shaped them into lemons and attached them onto some stamped Old Olive leaves. Look at the picture below for visual instructions for the lemons and the lime as well.
You can see in the picture above that I didn’t cut the lemons out the full size of the peach. I felt they needed to be more narrow and elongated. I made the lime the same way, only using green ink.
Here are all five cards together. As you can see, the Sweet as a Peach Bundle is quite versatile. I used Basic White Cardstock for the core of the cards. And I used the same Pattern Party DSP and Black Glittered Sheer Ribbon on all five cards. This little set of 3″ x 3″ cards are so fun and joyful! I am thrilled with them. I hope you are as well.
