Simple Stamping Sunday
I am so excited to bring the Cutest Halloween Bundle to you for this entire week. This is my eighth week of blogging every day and I have had so much fun doing it! I love what I do, and now I get to bring you great projects every day. Sundays are the days that start with a new stamp set or bundle. I will call Sunday’s Simple Stamping Sunday.
Not being a simple stamper, I like lots of layers, bling, ink colors, die cuts, and ribbons. You get the idea! I have been stamping for over 20 years, and I sometimes forget what it was like at the start. It is Simple Stamping Sunday, and that means… I am posting a simple stamping project. And by that I mean, only using stamps, ink, and paper. Basic projects that anyone can do. They won’t have to own half the Stampin’ Up! catalog to make them! LOL! Sometimes it is nice to go back to how you began.
Beginner Stamping Cutest Halloween Card
This card is a Simple Stamped card. Let’s call it a Beginner Card. It uses only stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Cutest Halloween Stamp Set, Basic Gray Cardstock for the base, and accented with Basic White and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. The inks used were Basic Gray and Pumpkin Pie Classic Inks, and of course Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. This stamp set is adorable. I just love the happy little Halloween characters. Check out the close-ups.
Taking a closer view of the card. You can see that even though I used just a few colors of ink, the results are an adorable Halloween card. If you buy this stamp set in the new mini catalog, you will use it so much. This week I will show you so many cute Halloween ideas for it. I hope you will see how truly adorable it is because it would make a great addition to your collection or a great first stamp set. This entire week, I will be sharing ideas daily. By Saturday, there will be quite a few projects for my efforts. Come back to my blog daily to see them all.
Casual Stamping Cutest Halloween Card
That first card is a Simple Stamping card, and this one is simple too just uses a few extra products. This second card represents one created by a Casual Stamper, someone who has been stamping for a while and has collected more products. It uses a few more supplies.
The background layer is essentially the same as the first card but uses Cutest Halloween DSP instead of hand stamping it. An additional stamp set was used on this card as well, but the cool thing about that is that it is a FREE one. Free you say? How? Well, it is SALE-a-bration! That means with a qualifying purchase from my online store, you can pick free things! The circles around the pumpkin, skeleton, and cat were stamped with a FREE stamp set called Textures & Frames. The pumpkin and cat were punched out using the Halloween Punch that comes in the Cutest Halloween Bundle and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, small shaped foam pieces that give layers a lift. Because a Casual Stamper has a few more products at their disposal than a Beginner, the results are similar but just a step up. Check out the close-ups below.
Now that you have seen the Beginner card, and the card of a Casual Stamper, next, I will show you the card of an Avid Stamper. An Avid stamper is someone who has been crafting for quite a while and has acquired more than your average amount of supplies. They like to try new things and make unique cards using lots of extras.
Avid Stamping Cutest Halloween Card
The Avid Stamper likes to add even more to a card. They not only have purchased the stamp set but also the matching dies. Ribbon and embellishments are almost always used. They own plenty of ink colors, additional die-cut sets, punches, and even Stampin’ Blends Markers. All those things when added to a card help it achieve a more “professional” look. On this card, the Cutest Halloween Bundle was used, and also the FREE Textures & Frames Stamp Set and Layering Circle Dies. Also added was the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper (DSP). I even fussy-cut the cute cat, pumpkin, and skeleton from the DSP. Lastly, added was the Black & White Gingham Ribbon which I just love. It turned out so cute! Down below are the close-ups.
I hope that you enjoyed this Simple Stamping Sunday blog post using the Cutest Halloween Bundle. Every Sunday pop back in so that I can share more projects with you. I will leave you with images of all three cards. If you want to see last week’s Simple Stamping post, click here.
