I am going to be posting a lot more on my blog. My goal was always to post daily, and I feel I am knowledgeable enough to try now. Every Sunday will be Simple Stamping Sunday. I am not normally a simple stamper. I like lots of layers, bling, ink colors, die cuts, and ribbons. You get the idea! I have been stamping for over 20 years now, and I sometimes forget what it was like to start. So, beginning this Sunday, and every Sunday, I will be posting simple stamping projects. And by that I mean, only using stamps, ink, and paper. Basic projects that anyone can do. They won’t have to own half the Stampin’ Up! catalog to make them! Hahaha!
This card is a Simple Stamped card. It uses only stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Art Gallery Stamp Set, Basic White Cardstock, Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper, and Ink. I really like this card and its’ simplicity. The pretty yellows and blues also call out to me.
Here is a closer view of it. You can see I used one light and one dark yellow ink, one green ink, and one blue ink. This stamp set lends itself nicely to simple stamping. It has different stamps to get the layered effect on the image.
Now let’s take the same concept and take it up a notch.
While the first card was a Simple Stamping card, this one can be considered simple as well. It just adds a few more things to it. Another layer of Basic White Cardstock was added to the front, and it was lifted up by a product called Stampin’ Dimensionals. They are small shaped foam pieces that give layers on a card that lift. The sentiment on this version was also lifted with the foam pieces. Lastly, I added some bling in the form of an Embellishment called Genial Gems. Check out the close-ups below.
Now that I have showed you the Beginner card, and the card of a Casual Crafter. Next, I will show you the card of an Avid Stamper. Let’s call this taking it up by two notches.
The Avid Stamper likes to add even more to a card. They not only have purchased the stamp set but also the matching dies. They also love ribbon and even something called Wink of Stella (a clear pen that adds glitter to stamped images). They also used a Blending Brush to add another color of ink behind the die-cut flower image. Look below at the close-ups.
I hope that you enjoyed this Simple Stamping Sunday blog post and will come back every Sunday to see what I have to share. I will leave you with one last image of all three cards together.
As always, thank you for visiting me 🙂
