Porcelain Bowl Trick – Tips, Tricks, and Techniques Friday

It is Friday! Happy Fri-YAY everyone! What does that mean is for the blog? – Tips, Tricks, and Techniques. Today I have a trick for you using the What’s Cookin’ Bundle. My Upline, (the person I signed up under in Stampin’ Up!), taught me this trick. I am calling it the Porcelain Bowl Trick. In order to do it, you will need packing tape and your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

The picture above is a sneak peek of tomorrow’s blog post, where I will show the Porcelain Bowl Trick on my Facebook Live Session, Saturday at 4 pm EST. It is such a simple trick and works so well for this cute little bowl in the What’s Cookin’ Bundle.

Let’s begin. Stamp your image and stick a piece of packing tape over it. Make sure your ink is dry before you put on the tape or it could smudge. Red and black are the worst colors for smudging.

Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the packing tape covered bowl about to be die-cut out.

Next, die-cut out your stamped image with the piece of packing tape in place over it. Use washi tape or a post-it not flag to hold your die on the stamped image. The packing tape is slick, and you don’t want the die to shift as you pass it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

Now comes the fun part! When you remove your die-cut from the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine the bowl is shiny. It looks like porcelain. The results are amazing! I know you can’t really tell from the picture but that is one shiny porcelain bowl.

I am so happy to share with you this simple Porcelain Bowl Trick. It really is an amazing result. Let me know in the comments below if you tried it and how it went. It is definitely something I will use in the future. Please watch tomorrow on my Facebook Live Session, as I demonstrate this trick and add the Porcelain Bowl to my card that day. Comment below with any questions you may have and I will be happy to help in any way that I can. If you want to see last Friday’s blog post with another Tip, Trick, or Technique, click here.
