So excited to bring the Penguin Place Bundle to you for this entire week. I blog every day and I have had so much fun doing it! Blessed to love what I do, bringing you great projects every day. Sundays are the days that start with a new stamp set or bundle. I call Sunday’s Simple Stamping Sunday. That means, I am posting a simple stamping project using only stamps, ink, and paper. Basic projects that anyone can do. You won’t have to own half the Stampin’ Up! catalog to make them!
Beginner Stamping Penguin Place Card
This card is a Simple Stamped card. Let’s call it a Beginner Card. It uses only stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Penguin Place Stamp Set, Balmy Blue Cardstock for the base, and accented with Basic White and Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. The inks I used were Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Balmy Blue, and Flirty Flamingo Classic Ink. This stamp set is just so adorable. I just love the cute penguin on his belly. He is such a character. Check out the close-ups.
Taking a closer view of the card. You can see all the details that Stampin’ Up! puts in their stamp sets. If you choose to buy this stamp set out of the new mini catalog, you will love it. This week I will show you so many cute Holiday ideas for it. I hope you will see how truly adorable it is because it would make a great addition to your collection or a great first stamp set. This entire week, I will be sharing ideas daily. By Saturday, there will be quite a few projects for my efforts. Come back to my blog daily to see them all.
Casual Stamping Penguin Place Card
That first card was a Simple Stamping card, and this one is simple too just uses a few extra products. This second card represents one created by a Casual Stamper, someone who has been stamping for a while and has collected more products. It uses a few more supplies.
The background layer is essentially the same as the first card but I created snow hills with the Basic White Cardstock. An additional color of ink, Just Jade, was used on this card for the tiny pine tree. The penguins are located on different snow banks. Because a Casual Stamper has a few more products at their disposal than a Beginner, the results are similar but just a step up.
Check out the close-ups below.
Now that you have seen the Beginner card, and the card of a Casual Stamper, next, I will show you the card of an Avid Stamper. An Avid stamper is someone who has been crafting for quite a while and has acquired more than your average amount of supplies. They like to try new things and make unique cards using lots of extras.
Avid Stamping Penguin Place Card
The Avid Stamper likes to add even more to a card. They not only have purchased the stamp set but also the matching dies or punch. Ribbon and embellishments are almost always used. They own plenty of ink colors, additional die-cut sets, punches, and even Stampin’ Blends Markers. All those things when added to a card help it achieve a more “professional” look.
On this card, the Penguin Place Stamp Set, Penguin Builder Punch, and Basic Borders Dies. Also added was The Wink of Stella Pen which painst a glistening iced over lake for the cute little penguin to glide on. Lastly, added was thetwo little pine trees which were stamped in Just Jade Classic Ink. This card is special in that it shows the inside from the outside of the card. I call it a Peek-a-boo card. It turned out so cute! Down below are the close-ups.
