This week’s Facebook Live showcased the A Touch of Ink Stamp Set. It is such a beautiful set with images of a butterfly, hummingbird, flowers, and leaves. It also has a variety of sentiments included in the set, something to cover most occasions. Also showcased was the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper, with four of Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful colors used in this paper pack, in solids and patterned dots, it is a must-have. The best part is that both A Touch of Ink and Oh So Ombre DSP is FREE during Sale-a-bration (with qualifying purchase)!!!!
For the first project, I stamped a simple card. The hummingbird is just so colorful on the front of the card. Doesn’t it just pop? I love how easy it is to create a beautiful background with the stamps in this set.
The first step was to stamp the leaf image over-and-over in Granny Apple Green Classic Ink on a solid piece of Oh So Ombre DSP included in the pack. You can see the beautiful ombre look of the DSP from light to dark Granny Apple Green.
For the hummingbird, I stamped the outline image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Next, I took the solid overlay stamp and inked it with three different colors of Stampin’ Write Markers. Using the brush end of the markers, I scribbled color on different parts of the stamp. Lastly, I stamped it to make a colorful impression over the outlined image. Attaching him to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals completed this part.
I stamped the words ‘Thank You So Much’ in Bermuda Bay Classic Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Next, I punched out the stamped sentiment from the cardstock using the Story Label Punch. Lastly, I stamped the tiny spray of dots in Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink onto the edges of the punched label. It also got attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the front of the card.
You know this girl loves her some bling! What does that mean for this card? Rhinestones glittering up the front of this card, of course. I used my Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Marker to color the rhinestones before placing them on the card.
Last but not least, stamp the insides of your cards! I chose to bring the leaves inside and stamped them in Bermuda Bay Classic Ink to match the cardstock. As a finishing touch, I added the splatter dots as well.
I just love the look of this second card I made. White on white is a trend that I have noticed lately in the stamping world. I wanted to try it out. All the layers of this card have a Basic White Cardstock base.
I started by stamping the outline stamp of the leaves all over the Basic White Cardstock layer. I used Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers in light and dark to color and shade the leaves. Next, I stamped separately another leaf image and two floral images coloring the separate leaf image in the same way. The floral images were colored by me in light and dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers, shading the flowers. I fussy cut the images and attached them to the front of the card.
Cutting a Circle from the Layering Circle Dies, I stamped the words ‘Best Wishes’ in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. On a separate piece of Basic White Cardstock, I stamped the outline butterfly stamp. Next, I colored it with Light Daffodil Delight and Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers. Lastly, I fussy cut the butterfly and attached it and the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.
Next, came the bow. I used the white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack from the January to June 2021 Mini Catalog. I wrapped it three times around the card and then tied it in a bow.
I stamped another butterfly on a separate piece of Basic White Cardstock and colored it in the same colors as I did the butterfly on the front of the card. But this time, I fussy cut it out and attached it to the inside of the card.
I love for the inside of my card to be just as pretty as the outside. Can you see the butterfly peeking at you from the inside of the card in this picture? Isn’t it beautiful? Don’t forget to watch me make both cards, tune in to the replay on my Facebook Business Page.
