Every Wednesday, I will be doing a weekly blog post adding another project that ties in with what I used the day before, at my Facebook Live Event!
This week’s Bonus Project uses Flower & Field Designer Series Paper. It is a gorgeous DSP that is FREE during Sale-a-bration!
What is Sale-a-bration, you ask? It is a twice a year Stampin’ Up! promotion, and it runs for 2 months. This one runs from January 5 – February 28, 2021. During the promotional period, you can choose a FREE Sale-A-Bration product with every $50 or $100 you spend (before tax and shipping) at my online store. The items you can pick for free can be seen in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.
How do I get a Sale-A-Bration Brochure, you ask? It can be found digitally here on my blog or send me an email/FB Message, and I would be happy to put on in the mail for you.
This week’s bonus project is a cute mini floral box that is made from a 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP. It was so much fun to make them, that I made a few in different patterns of DSP.
On my Facebook Live yesterday, I showcased the Flower & Field DSP and paired it with a bundle from the Annual Catalog. I just love the So Sentimental Bundle and am constantly using the dies and stamp set for so many projects. It is so versatile, and a must-have in my opinion.
The first step was to score the box using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Score at 1-3/8″ all the way down the piece of 6 x 6 Cardstock. Rotate it a turn and score again, but not past the line you just scored. Score at 1-3/8″, 2-3/4″, 4-1/8″ and 5-1/2″.
Next, cut up the score marks to the one score mark you made that went the whole length of the paper.
Cut off the last scored piece that is only a 1/2″ wide as shown in the pictures above.
Next step: Glue all the squares together one on top of each other, starting with the one next to the 1/2″ piece you cut away. Before you glue the last square down, run glue up the long edge of DSP, right above the 1/2″ cut-out.
I love the way they turned out. I added a long, narrow, scalloped, rectangle from the stitched So Sweetly Dies, and stamped it with the words ‘For you’ from the So Sentimental stamp set. The boxes are small but perfect to add a few treats. They can surely brighten someone’s day!
