It is Friday! Happy Fri-YAY everyone! What does that mean for the blog? – Feature Friday. Today we are going to explore our beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP). This week on the blog we used the Playing in the Rain Bundle and on all of this week’s cards, I used the Rain or Shine Specialty DSP.
Beautiful DSP is the staple of most card-making. Stampin’ Up!’s DSP is located in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog as well as the current January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. In the Annual Catalog, you will find DSP on pages 131-135. In the Mini Catalog, DSP is scattered throughout, but you can see all of it on page 86 in the index.
Don’t forget most of the DSP in both catalogs is on the Last Chance lists that are in yesterday’s blog post. They will be greatly reduced in some cases starting April 4, 2023, when the Last Chance Sale begins. Make your calendars and get ready to save!
As you can see in the picture above, the Rain or Shine Specialty DSP is fantastic. I really enjoyed using it on this week’s cards.
Some of the DSP packs have individual characters or multiple images that can be die-cut out using coordinating dies. That is something that makes Stampin’ Up!’s DSP unique. The artists that create the images for the paper take into account the many different ways that it can be used. You really get more bang for your buck with our DSPs.
More About DSP
DSP can change the whole look of a card or three-dimensional project. It adds color and texture and can even be the star of the show. Stampin’ Up!, in my opinion, does a phenomenal job on its’ DSP. If you have never bought any take a chance you will love it. I use it daily in my stamping projects. I think one of the hardest things to do with DSP is to cut it for a project. It is so beautiful that sometimes you just want to hoard it, collect it, and just look at it in all its beauty. LOL!

Class Information
CARD Fiesta
I have a CARD Fiesta Class on November 2nd, 16th, and 30th from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at a local Mexican Restaurant. Socialize with other stampers, eat Mexican food, and stamp some cards. STAMPING WITH FRIENDS via ZOOM
STAMPING WITH FRIENDS via ZOOM is on the third Sunday of the month at 3 pm EST. This month’s gathering will be on the 17th of November and December’s will be on the 16th. All you need to do to be able to attend is email me at kelli@inkyhandswarmhearts.com letting me know you wish to attend and I will send you a ZOOM link to attend. Bring a Kit to work on, a current project you are stamping, swaps you are prepping, an older or new Paper Pumpkin Kit, or anything you want. Paper Pumpkin Subscribers
Also, I will have our Paper Pumpkin Procrastinators Group meet on the last Friday of the month at 7 pm EST. This month’s gathering is on the 29th of November and December’s will be on the 27th. If you didn’t know, I livestream on YouTube on Tuesday nights at 8 PM EST and on Thursday afternoons at 1 PM EST. Replays are also available if these times do not work for you.
