So excited to bring the Angels of Peace Stamp Set to you for this entire week. I blog every day and I have so much fun doing it! Blessed to love what I do, bringing you great projects every day. Sundays are the days that start with a new stamp set or bundle. I call Sunday’s Simple Stamping Sunday.
Not being a simple stamper, I like lots of layers, bling, ink colors, die cuts, and ribbons. You get the idea! I have been stamping for over 20 years, and I sometimes forget what it was like when I first began. And because it is Simple Stamping Sunday, that means I am posting a simple stamping project using only stamps, ink, and paper. Basic projects that anyone can do. You won’t have to own half the Stampin’ Up! catalog to make them! LOL! Sometimes it is nice to go back to how you began.
Beginner Stamping – Angels of Peace Card
This card is a Simple Stamped card. Let’s call it a Beginner Card. It uses only stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Angels of Peace Stamp Set, Basic Black Cardstock for the base, and accented with Basic White Cardstock. The main ink colors I used were Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and Real Red Classic Ink. This stamp set is just so beautiful. I just love this elegant angel. Check out the close-ups.
Taking a closer view of the card. You can see that even though I used mostly a black and white palette, the results are pretty. If you choose to buy this stamp set in the new mini catalog, you will love it. This week I will show you so many ideas for it. I hope you will see how truly beautiful it is because it would make a great addition to your collection or a great first stamp set. This entire week, I will be sharing ideas daily. By Saturday, there will be quite a few projects for my efforts. Come back to my blog daily to see them all.
Casual Stamping – Angels of Peace Card
That first card was a Simple Stamping card, and this one is simple too just uses a few extra products. This second card represents one created by a Casual Stamper, someone who has been stamping for a while and has collected more products. It uses a few more supplies.
The background layer is essentially the same as the first card but uses a strip of Simply Elegant DSP added to the Basic Black strip of cardstock. An additional color of cardstock, Real Red, was used on this card to tie it into the gown on the angel. The angel has been colored with Stampin’ Blends this time instead of ink and Blender Pens. Because a Casual Stamper has a few more products at their disposal than a Beginner, the results are similar but just a step up.
Check out the close-ups below.
Now that you have seen the Beginner card, and the card of a Casual Stamper, next, I will show you the card of an Avid Stamper. An Avid stamper is someone who has been crafting for quite a while and has acquired more than your average amount of supplies. They like to try new things and make unique cards using lots of extras.
Avid Stamping – Angels of Peace Card
The Avid Stamper likes to add even more to a card. They not only have purchased the stamp set but also the matching dies. Ribbon and embellishments are almost always used. They own plenty of ink colors, additional die-cut sets, punches, and even Stampin’ Blends Markers. All those things when added to a card help it achieve a more “professional” look. On this card, the Angels of Peace Stamp Set, Ornate Frames Dies, and Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder were used. Also added was the Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper (DSP). Lastly, added were the Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon and Wonderful Gems. It turned out so pretty! Down below are the close-ups.
I hope that you enjoyed this Simple Stamping Sunday blog post using the Angels of Peace Stamp Set. Every Sunday pop back in so that I can share more projects with you. I will leave you with images of all three cards. If you want to see last week’s Simple Stamping post, click here.
