It is Friday! Happy Fri-YAY everyone! What does that mean is for the blog? – Tips, Tricks, and Techniques. Since I have been using the Quiet Meadow Bundle, I pondered what tip, trick, or technique I wanted to show you guys today. I have a technique today to help you when you using the Meadow Dies from the Quiet Meadow Bundle. It is Watercoloring Die-cuts.
This picture is a sneak peek of tomorrow’s blog post. The Meadow Dies have beautiful florals. You can make them extra beautiful by watercoloring them. The key is to use Stampin’Up!’s Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Shimmery White Cardstock, or Thick Basic White Cardstock for the die-cut florals. Watercoloring Die-cuts is simple and leaves you with a beautiful outcome.
You start with a silicone mat and the die-cut pieces of your choice.
You start with one ink color and use the Water Painter brush based on the tip size appropriate for your die-cut. Squeeze it to get the water flowing, and paint the ink color on die-cut until it is watercolored.
As shown above, after purging the first color from your brush, put your second color onto your brush and paint it onto the rest of your die-cut.
These are the finished results. I am thrilled to share with you these simple techniques to watercolor die-cuts. It really is a pretty result. I hope you learned something that you will use in the future. I also hope you consider purchasing this beautiful Bundle with these dies included. They would make a great addition to what you already own or even a great first set. If you want to see last Friday’s blog post with another Tip, Trick, or Technique, click here.
