Two weeks straight of blogging every day! I am so proud of myself. And here we are. It is Sunday again. Every Sunday will be Simple Stamping Sunday. I am not really a simple stamper. I like lots of layers, bling, ink colors, die cuts, and ribbons. You get the idea! I have been stamping for over 20 years now, and I sometimes forget what it was like to start. But, since it is Sunday, I am posting a simple stamping project. And by that I mean, only using stamps, ink, and paper. Basic projects that anyone can do. They won’t have to own half the Stampin’ Up! catalog to make them! LOL! Sometimes it is nice to go back to how you began.
This card is a Simple Stamped card. Let’s call it a Beginner Card. It uses only stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, Basic White Cardstock, Fresh Freesia Cardstock, and Ink. It is simple and clean. This stamp set is designed to show a stamping technique called Blended Alcohol. Stampin’ Up! Simplified it. They made it so you could get the lock of that with just stamp ink onto cardstock. Genius right?
Here is a closer view of the card. You can see that even though I used just one color of ink, the blended look is brought out in the card. It is the very design of the stamp set. I am so completely wowed by this stamp set. I hope you will be as well. We will spend an entire week on it. I will be making different projects each day, and by Saturday, we will know it very well.
The first card was a Simple Stamping card, and this one is simple as well. It uses a few more products. This second card represents one created by a Casual Stamper, someone who has been stamping for a while and has collected a few more products. The card has a few more elements added to it. A matted layer was added to the card. That added layer was raised using a product called Stampin’ Dimensionals, small shaped foam pieces that give layers a lift. An extra color of ink was added to this card as well because a Casual Stamper has more ink than a Beginner. A piece of Designer Series Paper was used from the same suite of products and tucked behind a ripped area of cardstock. Check out the close-ups below.
Now that I have shown you the Beginner card, and the card of a Casual Stamper. Next, I will show you the card of an Avid Stamper. An Avid stamper is someone who has been crafting for quite a while and has acquired more than your average amount of supplies. They like to try new things and make unique cards.
The Avid Stamper likes to add even more to a card. They not only have purchased the stamp set but also the matching dies. They also love ribbon and embellishments. They own plenty of ink colors, additional die-cut sets, and even Stampin’ Blends Markers. All those things when added to a card help it achieve a more “professional” look. Here below are the close-ups.
I hope that you enjoyed this Simple Stamping Sunday blog post. I will be back every Sunday to share more projects with you. I will leave you with one last image of all three cards together.
