I can’t wait to show you the Friends are like Seashells Bundle. This is my fifth week straight of blogging every day! It makes me so proud. I love what I do and now I get to share it with you every day. It is Sunday again. Every Sunday will be Simple Stamping Sunday. I am not really a simple stamper. I like lots of layers, bling, ink colors, die cuts, and ribbons. You get the idea! I have been stamping for over 20 years now, and I sometimes forget what it was like to start. But, since it is Sunday, I am posting a simple stamping project. And by that I mean, only using stamps, ink, and paper. Basic projects that anyone can do. They won’t have to own half the Stampin’ Up! catalog to make them! LOL! Sometimes it is nice to go back to how you began.
This card is a Simple Stamped card. Let’s call it a Beginner Card. It uses only stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Friends are like Seashells Stamp Set, Basic White Cardstock, and Blushing Bride Cardstock. I accented with Balmy Blue Cardstock and Crumb Cake Cardstock. The ink used was Blushing Bride Classic Ink. It is simple and clean. Although this card is simple, it is so pretty.
Here is a closer view of the card. You can see that even though I used just a few colors of ink, the results are still stunning. It is the beautiful seashells in the stamp set that really stand out. Living in Virginia Beach, this set was a must-have for me. I hope it will be for you will be as well, because it would make a great addition to your collection or a great first stamp set. I will spend an entire week on it, sharing ideas daily. By Saturday, there will be quite a few projects for my efforts. Join me every day to see them all.
That first card was a Simple Stamping card, and this one is simple as well but uses a few extra products. This second card represents one created by a Casual Stamper, someone who has been stamping for a while and has collected more products. The card has a few more items added to it. The background layer was cut into three panels. A punch was used, and the words were stamped on that punched piece of cardstock. All the seashells were cut out this time, and some were lifted up and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, small shaped foam pieces that give layers a lift. Because a Casual Stamper has many more products at their disposal than a Beginner, the sand was blended into the card panel pieces with Crumb Cake Classic Ink using a Blending Brush. Check out the close-ups below.
Now that you have seen the Beginner card, and the card of a Casual Stamper, next, I will show you the card of an Avid Stamper. An Avid stamper is someone who has been crafting for quite a while and has acquired more than your average amount of supplies. They like to try new things and make unique cards using lots of extras.
The Avid Stamper likes to add even more to a card. They not only have purchased the stamp set but also the matching dies. Ribbon and embellishments are almost always used. They own plenty of ink colors, additional die-cut sets, and even Stampin’ Blends Markers. All those things when added to a card help it achieve a more “professional” look. On this card, not only was the Friends are like Seashells Bundle used but also the Every Day Tag Punch, Blending Brushes, Stampin’ Blends Markers, Essentials Bakers Twine, and Opal Rounds. Here below are the close-ups.
