This week’s Live showcased the Dove of Hope Bundle. I was inspired when my friend Lou came over to ‘play’ with me in my Stamping Studio. It uses Cinnamon Cider, Mossy Meadow, Misty Moonlight and Whisper White Cardstocks, Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper, Copper Foil Paper, and Misty Moonlight Classic Ink.
The card tonight has very little stamping. But that goes to show you, that this bundle can be used in so many ways. The star of this card is the die-cut pieces. The stamping that was done on the front of this card used the Dove of Hope stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight Classic Ink. And I used a Misty Moonlight cardstock label cut from Tasteful Label Dies. I love that Stampin’ Up! colors coordinate. You can stamp the same color ink on the same color cardstock and see amazing results.
I used another set of dies on this card. The dies are called World Map Dies and are absolutely beautiful. I used Misty Moonlight Cardstock and Copper Foil Sheets to get the look you see. By die-cutting in those two colors, and layering the images, you get a gorgeous globe, the perfect backdrop for my Dove of Peace.
Next, the dove makes its debut. I used Whisper White Cardstock as well as Vellum Cardstock to get this look. The wings are separate pieces that I die-cut and then attached to the dove’s body. I also die cut a sprig for the mouth and added the bling. It is my favorite part. I used Rhinestone Basic Jewels and colored them with a Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Marker.
The finished result is a stunning Christmas card, and a message we need, especially these days.
