Hi everyone! Hope you enjoyed the Bonus Project, Embossing Folder Ink Trick Card, I made on my Facebook Live earlier today. I do a Live Session every Saturday at 4 pm EST. I hope you will join me weekly. This project and all the projects this week were made with the Nuts About Squirrels Stamp Set.
If you missed the projects earlier in the week, I hope you go back to my Sunday post and work your way through them all. It has been such a fun week working with this adorable stamp set.
I made this adorable Embossing Folder Ink Trick card for the final project of the week using the Nuts About Squirrels Stamp Set, once again. The stamp set, when paired with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, makes awesome cards. Check out the one I made on Tuesday by clicking here. On Tuesday, I paired the stamp set with the fabulous Stitched Leaves Dies. Today I am focusing on a technique that I highlighted in yesterday’s blog post. If you want to see the blog post, click here. I used ink on the embossing folder to make the wood grain look two-toned. Now that woodgrain really pops!
All of this week’s Live Sessions focused on the Nuts About Squirrels Stamp Set. I really loved using it. It’s whimsical images make the cutest cards. Check out these close-up pictures.
Look at all the details on this adorable card. I have to say, it is one of my favorites of the week. I used Stampin’ Up!’s Crumb Cake Cardstock with Sahara Sand Classic Ink to make the beautiful Embossing Folder Ink Trick Card background. Next, I die-cut out a tag in Sahara Sand Cardstock and mounted the fussy-cut Squirrel on it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment, “Nuts about you!”, was also stamped on the tag near the bottom. I cut 1/2″ strips of Assorted DSP with different cuts on each piece. Those were attached to the wood-grained background. Lastly, the tag was attached to the card overtop the strips of DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Of course, I made the inside special too. I stamped a tree branch and added fall leaves onto it. Remember no naked insides! I think the best part of this card is the Embossing Folder Ink Trick. That wood-grained background is just beautiful!
If you missed the Live, watch the replay video embedded above, you can learn how to do this technique and make this card yourself.
