So excited to bring the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set to you for this entire week. I blog every day and I have so much fun doing it! Blessed to love what I do, bringing you great projects every day. Sundays are the days that start with a new stamp set or bundle. I call Sunday’s Simple Stamping Sunday.
Not being a simple stamper, I like lots of layers, bling, ink colors, die cuts, and ribbons. You get the idea! I have been stamping for over 20 years, and I sometimes forget what it was like when I first began. And because it is Simple Stamping Sunday, that means I am posting a simple stamping project using only stamps, ink, and paper. Basic projects that anyone can do. You won’t have to own half the Stampin’ Up! catalog to make them! LOL! Sometimes it is nice to go back to how you began.
Beginner Stamping Delicate Dahlias Card
This card is a Simple Stamped card. Let’s call it a Beginner Card. It uses only stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set, Polished Pink Cardstock for the base, and accented with Basic White Cardstock. The inks I used were Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and Polished Pink Classic Ink. I also used the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen. That is what gives the pink Dahlia it’s blingy appearance. This stamp set is just beautiful. I just love the floral images in this set. Check out the close-ups.
Taking a closer view of the card. You can see that even though I used mostly Polished Pink Classic Ink, the results are so pretty. This week I will show you many beautiful ideas for this stamp set. I hope you will see how truly gorgeous it is because it would make a great addition to your collection or a great first stamp set. This entire week, I will be sharing ideas daily. By Saturday, there will be many projects for my efforts. Come back to my blog daily to see them all.
Casual Stamping Delicate Dahlias Card
That first card was a Simple Stamping card, and this one is simple too just uses a few extra products. This second card represents one created by a Casual Stamper, someone who has been stamping for a while and has collected more products. It uses a few more supplies.
This card is essentially the same as the first but uses an extra color of cardstock, Poppy Parade cardstock, and Poppy Parade Classic Ink was added to this card to set it apart from the Beginner Card. The Double Oval Punch was also used in this version as a place to stamp the sentiment. Lastly, Wonderful Gems were added to the card to add even more bling to it. Because a Casual Stamper has a few more products at their disposal than a Beginner, the results are similar but just a step up.
Check out the close-ups below.
Now that you have seen the Beginner card, and the card of a Casual Stamper, next, I will show you the card of an Avid Stamper. An Avid stamper is someone who has been crafting for quite a while and has acquired more than your average amount of supplies. They like to try new things and make unique cards using lots of extras.
Avid Stamping Delicate Dahlias Card
The Avid Stamper likes to add even more to a card. They not only have purchased the stamp set but also the matching dies. Ribbon and embellishments are almost always used. They own plenty of ink colors, additional die-cut sets, punches, and even Stampin’ Blends Markers. All those things when added to a card help it achieve a more “professional” look. On this card, the Delicate Dahlia Stamp Set, Scalloped Contour Dies, and Double Oval Punch were used. Also added was the cute Black & White Gingham Ribbon. Lastly, added was the Wink of Stella Clear Brush and the Wonderful Gems to bring the bling! It turned out so beautiful! Down below are the close-ups.
