So excited to bring the Counting Sheep Stamp Set and matching Sheep Dies to you for this entire week. I blog every day and I have had so much fun doing it! Blessed to love what I do, bringing you great projects every day. Sundays are the days that start with a new stamp set or bundle. I call Sunday’s Simple Stamping Sunday.
Not being a simple stamper, I like lots of layers, bling, ink colors, die cuts, and ribbons. You get the idea! I have been stamping for over 20 years, and I sometimes forget what it was like when I first began. And because it is Simple Stamping Sunday, that means I am posting a simple stamping project using only stamps, ink, and paper. Basic projects that anyone can do. You won’t have to own half the Stampin’ Up! catalog to make them! LOL! Sometimes it is nice to go back to how you began.
One additional thing to note is that it is also SALE-a-bration! That means with a qualifying purchase from my online store, you can pick FREE things! Look for the SALE-a-bration Brochure on the right sidebar to see what is available or choose SALE-a-bration in my online store to see what is available. The Counting Sheep Stamp Set and matching Sheep Dies are two FREE things that can be selected with a qualifying purchase during SALE-a-bration!
Beginner Stamping Counting Sheep Card
This card is a Simple Stamped card. Let’s call it a Beginner Card. It uses only stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Counting Sheep Stamp Set, Pool Party Cardstock for the front, and accented with Basic White Cardstock. The inks I used were Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and Pool Party Classic Ink. This stamp set is just the cutest. I just love the funny little sheep. He is such a character. Check out the close-ups.
Taking a closer view of the card. You can see that cute little sheep frolicking on the card. The coolest thing about this stamp set is that is completely free when you make a qualifying purchase out of the Annual Catalog or new July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.
SALE-a-bration as we like to call it is a two-month period where you can earn free products by purchasing other products. This set is one of the free ones you can earn and you will love it. This week I will show you so many cute ideas for it. It would make a great addition to your collection. This entire week, I will be sharing ideas daily. By Saturday, there will be quite a few projects for my efforts. Come back to my blog daily to see them all.
Casual Stamping Counting Sheep Card
That first card was a Simple Stamping card, and this one is simple too just uses a few extra products. This second card represents one created by a Casual Stamper, someone who has been stamping for a while and has collected more products. It uses a few more supplies.
The background layer is essentially the same as the first card, but uses Pattern Party DSP, another freebie that can be earned by hosting a party of $150 or more. I have been using that paper on so many projects. It is just delightful.
This version of the card not only uses the FREE Counting Sheep Stamp Set but also the FREE coordinating Sheep Dies. The fence, balloon, and sun are all extra pieces in the Sheep Dies. Also, the Sheep and party hat were die-cut out using the FREE Sheep Dies. As a casual stamper, you would own a few more things. The clouds that were added to the top of the card were die-cut out using the Basic Borders Dies. They are a great addition to any stampers supplies, as there are six different die borders to use for your card making. The little sheep jumping over that die-cut fence are so sweet. Don’t you think? Because a Casual Stamper has a few more products at their disposal than a Beginner, the results are similar but just a step up.
Check out the close-ups below.
Now that you have seen the Beginner card, and the card of a Casual Stamper, next, I will show you the card of an Avid Stamper. An Avid stamper is someone who has been crafting for quite a while and has acquired more than your average amount of supplies. They like to try new things and make unique cards using lots of extras.
Avid Stamping Counting Sheep Card
The Avid Stamper likes to add even more to a card. They not only have purchased the stamp set but also the matching dies. Ribbon and embellishments are almost always used. They own plenty of ink colors, additional die-cut sets, punches, and even Stampin’ Blends Markers. All those things when added to a card help it achieve a more “professional” look. On this card, the Counting Sheep Stamp Set, Sheep Dies, Basic Borders Dies, and Give it a Whirl Dies were used. Also added was the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (DSP). Lastly, added was the Sheer Pool Party Ribbon which added another splash of Pool Party color to the top of the card. It turned out so cute! I made it a baby card instead of a Birthday one by adding another stamp set with sentiments called One Happy Family. Down below are the close-ups.
