So excited to bring the Be Jolly Stamp Set to you for this entire week. I blog every day and I have so much fun doing it! Blessed to love what I do, bringing you great projects every day. Sunday is the day that I start with a new stamp set or bundle. I call Sunday’s Simple Stamping Sunday.
Not being a simple stamper, I like lots of layers, bling, ink colors, die cuts, and ribbons. You get the idea! I have been stamping for over 20 years, and I sometimes forget what it was like when I first began. And because it is Simple Stamping Sunday, that means I am posting a simple stamping project using only stamps, ink, and paper. Basic projects that anyone can do. You won’t have to own half the Stampin’ Up! catalog to make them! LOL! Sometimes it is nice to go back to how you began.
Beginner Stamping Be Jolly Card
This card is a Simple Stamped card. Let’s call it a Beginner Card. It uses only stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Be Jolly Stamp Set, Bumblebee Cardstock for the base, and accented with Evening Evergreen and Basic White Cardstock. The inks I used were Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and various other colors of Classic Ink to color the main images. See below for exact colors. This stamp set is just the cutest. I just love the happy little Santa. He is such a character. Check out the close-ups.
Taking a closer view of the card, you can see how precious the Santa on this Christmas card is. If you choose to buy this stamp set in the new mini catalog, you will love it. This week I will show you so many cute seasonal ideas for it. I hope you will see how truly adorable it is because it would make a great addition to your collection or a great first stamp set. This entire week, I will be sharing ideas daily. By Saturday, there will be quite a few projects for my efforts. Come back to my blog daily to see them all.
Casual Stamping Be Jolly Card
That first card was a Simple Stamping card, and this one is simple too just uses a few extra products. This second card represents one created by a Casual Stamper, someone who has been stamping for a while and has collected more products. It uses a few more supplies.
The background layer is essentially the same as the first card but uses Sweet Stockings DSP instead of the Evening Evergreen strip of cardstock. An additional color of cardstock, Cherry Cobbler, was used on this card as well to mat the main image and the sentiment.Basic White Twine was used to add a bow. Because a Casual Stamper has a few more products at their disposal than a Beginner, the results are similar but just a step up.
Check out the close-ups below.
Now that you have seen the Beginner card, and the card of a Casual Stamper, next, I will show you the card of an Avid Stamper. An Avid stamper is someone who has been crafting for quite a while and has acquired more than your average amount of supplies. They like to try new things and make unique cards using lots of extras.
Avid Stamping Be Jolly Card
The Avid Stamper likes to add even more to a card. They not only have purchased the stamp set but also the matching dies. Ribbon and embellishments are almost always used. They own plenty of ink colors, additional die-cut sets, punches, and even Stampin’ Blends Markers. All those things when added to a card help it achieve a more “professional” look.
On this card, the Be Jolly Stamp Set, and Best Year Stamp sets were used. Also added was the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper (DSP). This card is a fun fold card. Make sure that you make it back on Friday where I show you how to recreate this fun fold card. It turned out so cute! Down below are the close-ups.
